Fault Finding & Emergency Call-Outs

Electrical fault finding and emergency repairs in London

When circuits keep tripping, part of the property loses power or something smells of burning, you need the fault found and fixed safely. We take call-outs until 10pm on weekdays and 8pm at weekends, usually attend within an hour, and repair faults properly rather than just resetting the breaker.

Is it safe to wait?

If you can smell burning, see scorch marks or smoke, hear crackling, or a socket or switch is hot to the touch, switch off the power at the consumer unit if you can do so safely and keep away from the affected area. If there is fire or smoke, call 999.

If the power has gone off, check whether your neighbours are affected. If they are, it is probably a supply problem, and you should call your electricity network operator on 105. If only your property is affected, call us.

Emergency call-outs

We take emergency call-outs until 10pm on weekdays and 8pm at weekends, and usually attend within an hour. Call or WhatsApp us on 07944 238 711 and tell us what is happening.

How we find the fault

Many faults are intermittent, or caused by a single appliance or a damaged cable somewhere on a circuit. We isolate and test circuits one by one to pin down the cause, then agree the repair with you before carrying it out.

Frequently asked questions

What hours do you take emergency call-outs?

Until 10pm on weekdays and until 8pm at weekends. We usually attend within an hour.

My RCD keeps tripping. What causes that?

Common causes include a faulty appliance, moisture getting into an outdoor socket or light, or a damaged cable. Try unplugging the appliances on the affected circuit and resetting it. If it still trips, the fault is likely to be in the fixed wiring and needs testing.

Do you repair faults found during an EICR?

Yes, including faults listed in reports issued by other companies.
